Coriolis Effect

Everyone knows that the earth rotates on its axis. At that time, the circulating air deflected to the right in the northern hemisphere. And so, the southern hemisphere deviates to the left. Such a phenomenon called as the Coriolis effect.

Coriolis effect affects ocean currents, weather patterns. Besides, it can change the trajectory of long-range missiles from side to side. The Coriolis effect plays an important role in geophysics.
