Ferrell's Law

“Ferrell’s Law” is a concept named after the eminent American meteorologist William Ferrell. The law describes the behaviour of air masses at mid-latitudes due to the Coriolis effect. Ferrell’s law states that at mid-latitudes, air masses tend to deviate. This causes due to the Coriolis effect only. It occurs in the northern hemisphere. The air moving in that direction moves to the right. But, in the Southern Hemisphere, it definitely deviates to the left. These deviations affect wind patterns and the formation of weather systems.
