Metalloids
Materials that have both metallic and non-metallic properties called metals. Metalloids are those chemical elements that have both metallic and non-metallic properties. Such as boron, germanium, silicon, antimony, arsenic, tellurium, and polonium. Metalloids are brittle and have electronic band structures. These are all good semiconductors. It forms amphoteric or acidic oxides and metallic alloys. Its ionization energy is between metals and non-metals. Some metalloids are also used in herbicides and pesticides. Besides, it contains medicinal and nutritional properties as well.
